I’ve decided to start blogging, well photo-blogging, with maybe the occasional written word to go along. The blog is called shapes/and.things, as some have claimed that that is what I like to photograph. I’ll try to throw in some people, at least every once in a while.

The Gidji has been selected to the St Kilda Film Festival 2011, one of Australia’s most prestigious short film festivals.

The Gidji took home the award for ‘Most Innovative Film’ at the Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth 2011 in Vancouver, Canada. The director Pat Herford attended the festival and was happy to accept the award in person.
The Gidji was nominated for ‘Best Australian Short Film’ at the Heart of Gold International Film Festival 2011 in Gympie, Australia. This was the first nomination for the film on the international film festival circuit.
Congratulations to all the winners on the night!
The feature film Woody Island will make its festival debut at the 2011 Festival of the Wind in Esperance, Australia. The festival takes place from the 18th - 20th of March.

The short film The Gidji has been selected for the 3rd International Short Film Festival for Children and Youth which is part of the 26th International Short Film Festival Interfilm Berlin. The festival takes place from the 14th - 21st of November 2010 in the German capital.
