A music video for Melbourne based indie favourites The Twoks is in pre-production. The shoot will take place in late August 2010. Long time collaborator Pat Herford is directing.

Gidji in the USA

The short film The Gidji is making its international debut at the 2010 Palm Springs International Shortfest.

It is an exciting festival to be screened at, as it is one of only a handful of Academy Award accredited shortfilm festivals around the globe. The festival takes place from the 22nd - 28th of June in Palm Springs, California.

The director, Pat Herford, will attend the festival in person.

Mopz Wanted album released on 16th July

The new Mopz Wanted album entitled Begleiterscheinungen (engl. side effects) is released on the 16th July 2010. The first single ‘Heimat’ (engl. home) is released 6-7 weeks prior to that date. The video to the single is included on the album as a multimedia feature.

‘Heimat’ (engl. Home) finishes post-production

The new music video clip of German hip hop artist Mopz Wanted has finished post-production.

The track ‘Heimat’ (engl. Home) is the first single of the new Mopz Wanted album, due to be released on the 16th of July 2010.

The video will soon be available for viewing online, as well as being broadcast on various German Music TV Networks.

The video is also incorporated on the album as a multimedia feature.

‘The Gidji’ web teaser online

The web teaser for the short film The Gidji is online. Simpy click on the showreel section to access it for viewing.

The film was the final project of a Master of Arts in Directing at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne. The film was directed by Patrick Herford. It marks the fourth collaboration with Patrick.

The film was finished at the end of 2009 and hits the festival circuit this year. It already managed to pick up the 2009 Panavision Script Award, Melbourne. Hopefully more great things are in store for the film this year. Watch this space!

‘Hollywood Sign Girls’ Trailer online

The trailer for the short feature Hollywood Sign Girls is now online and available to watch in the showreel section of this website.

The film was shot at the beginning of 2007 as the final project of a Master of Arts in Cinematography at Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia.

The film received the Award for Best Cinematography at the 2008 West Australian Screen Awards in Perth, and was a finalist at the 2008 St. Kilda Film Festival in Melbourne.

‘Woody Island’ web teaser online

The web teaser for the feature film Woody Island is now online and available to watch in the showreel section of this website.

The film was shot in November 2008 on Woody Island in Western Australia. The film is currently in post-production, and is scheduled to be released mid 2010.

‘Mopz Wanted’ Music Video Shoot

The music video shoot for the new track Heimat (engl. Home) by ‘Mopz Wanted’ was wrapped succesfully on Sunday, 10th January 2010. The production took place at the impressive Kolbhalle in Cologne, Germany, with a special thanks to the artists-in-residence at the venue.

The shoot marked a first field test of the Canon 5D MkII for all parties involved. Nominally a stills camera, a Full HD video function was included, which in conjunction with the full format sensor, was able to produce impressive results.

Heimat is the first single of the new ‘Mopz Wanted’ album, which is due to be released in April 2010.

‘The Gidji’ Premiere: Melbourne

The shortfilm ‘The Gidji’ celebrates its world premiere as part of the Graduate Screenings 2009 of the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).

The film was directed by VCA Masters student Patrick Herford and marks the fourth collaboration with Patrick to date. The shoot took place in June 2009 near Flinders, VIC, south of Melbourne. 

The premiere is held at the Australian Centre of the Moving Image (ACMI) at Federation Square in Melbourne.

The dates are:

  • 18th December at 7.15pm
